On our third go-round with a newborn, Dave and I are both deeply aware of how short this season is. For the first time in this parenting adventure, we're both thinking about how, before we know it, this sleepy, silent, dark-eyed, cuddly, tiny girl of ours will be alert, babbling, curious, roving and generally grown-up. And I very much wanted someone to capture this incredible infant stage before it flies away. So on Monday, I took Esme to the amazing Megan Russell for some real photographs.

Those are incredible photos....it helps when the model is so cute and cuddly. We had a friend do pics of all our kids when Eli was 6weeks old. So glad we did. Makes me wnat to go do it again now.
The time does go SO fast. Eli will be one year old in a few short days. He is crusing furniture, babbling and making his opinion known very loudly :o)
